Mike is an Industrial Controls Engineer who completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) at
the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1983, together with Computer Science Papers to Stage
II level.
He is also a New Zealand Registered Engineer (read Electrician).
With over 35 years experience, he specializes in the Development of Custom Integrated Industrial Control Systems and Office Automation Software.
His early career was mostly in the Steel,2 Piece Can Making and Food Industries and included a
lot of Overseas Contract work on most phases of a variety of turn-key Projects, from
Hardware and HMI & PLC Program Design, through Installation to Startup and Qualification
The last 5 years have been largely self-employed, with a focus on formalizing some original Controls Design and Office Automation methods; the ultmate goal being to Commercialize these through the WasteNot Website
Towards this goal, the first Excel VBA Library Modules are now available on this Website (please refer to our Product Summary)
Mike will consider any position, contract or salaried, within or outside the
bounds of past experience, to further develop and impliment these systems, and is willing to travel or relocate if required
Ideally this would involve complete responsibility for all Electrical and Control aspects of a small to medium-sized Green-Field or Re-Development Project
